RAWALPINDI – Funeral prayer of the military personnel – killed in a helicopter crash on Thursday – was offered in Chaklala on Saturday.
According to a statement issued here by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sohail Aman and a large number of high ranking serving and retired officers and relatives of the martyred personnel attended the funeral prayers.
At least 12 army personnel – including five majors – were killed in the army aviation MI-17 helicopter crash near Lassan Nawab area of Mansehra on Thursday evening. The deceased included army doctors, paramedical staff, the pilots and crew.
