ISLAMABAD: The government on Monday announced three public holidays for the event of Eidul Azha that would be celebrated on September 13, 2016.
According to a notification issued by the Interior Ministry, September, 12, 13 and 14 would be public holidays.
Eidul Azha is celebrated in remembrance the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice the life of his son for Allah. The timing of the holiday depends on when the new moon is seen at the start of the Zil-hajj.
Eidul Azha moon was sighted on September 3 in Pakistan.
