The government declared on Thursday that offices would observe five and six working days a week, respectively, during the three- and four-day holidays for Eid ul Fitr.
The Cabinet Division has announced that the offices that observe a five-day work week will have holidays from Wednesday, April 10, to Friday, April 12.
In the meantime, the holidays for offices that observe six working days a week are scheduled from Wednesday, April 10, to Saturday, April 13.
An important event in the Islamic lunar calendar, Eid ul Fitr is observed at the conclusion of Ramadan, the holy month during which Muslims worldwide observe a month-long fast. The celebration of Eid brings an end to this time of self-control.
Depending on when the moon is visible, Eid ul Fitr is predicted to fall on April 10 or April 11 this year.
