KARACHI: A huge cache of weapons were recovered in an operation conducted by Rangers and intelligence agencies at Sakhi Hasan graveyard in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to a CTD spokesperson, operation was conducted on information given by a suspect.
Earlier, weapons and ammunition were recovered on Oct 19 in Rangers’ raid in Orangi Town, Sector-I. The weapons were hidden inside shops, reported Dunya News.
According to Rangers spokesperson, the weapons included three SMGs, three 8MM rifles, four 7MM rifles, one 30-bore rifle, one mauser, one 12-bore repeater, three 30-bore pistols, two 32-bore pistols, ten RPG rockets and twelve RBG-7 Premiers.
He told that bullets were also found in large numbers. The bullets included 1840 rounds of G3, 12,960 rounds of SMG, 8250 LMG bullets and several rounds of the rifle. The weapons was being planned to be used in terrorist activities in Karachi.
