ISLAMABAD: The First Secretary of the Indian High Commission was summoned to the Foreign Office on Saturday to lodge a protest over the killing of a Pakistani national who had inadvertently crossed the border.
The Pakistani national, Amanat Ali, was killed by the Indian security forces after unintentionally crossing over Pak-India border in Shakargarh, said spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office Tasneem Aslam.
The Indian diplomat was told that killing of unarmed and innocent people is a condemnable act.
He was told that the Indian security forces will have to avoid such acts in the future.
