- PTI founder thanks supporters for the “two-thirds” majority and says the party would petition the Supreme Court over “rigged” results.
- Designates Gandapur as KP CM; PM time is still up in the air.
ISLAMABAD PTI founder Imran Khan stated on Tuesday that the former ruling party was open to discussions with all political parties, with the exception of the PPP, PML-N, and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P), as his opponents try to put together a coalition to govern for the next five years.
The former prime minister’s comments were made at a moment when his opponents, having failed to win an overwhelming majority in the lower chamber of parliament, had made the decision to create an alliance, most likely under the leadership of the PML-N and with assistance from former PDM allies. On May 9, Mr. Khan made an appearance prior to a judge for proceedings brought against him in relation to the violence.
Speaking to media at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, Imran Khan disclosed that the PTI information secretary was assigned the responsibility of reaching out to all political parties—aside from the ones listed above—in order to start a conversation.
Imran Khan stated that his party’s top goal was to file a Supreme Court appeal against the poll results when asked if the PTI would establish the federal government. He declared that he had never seen an election so manipulated and he called on all political parties to unite in denouncing the manipulation.
The PTI leader claimed that since rigged elections would increase economic instability, free and fair elections were the best way to address Pakistan’s issues. He asserted that when the results were not announced immediately after the election and Nawaz Sharif, the head of the PML-N, postponed his media appearance, he realized his party had won.
The PML-N chief and his child Maryam Nawaz Sharif, he said, both lost the poll, but Aliya Hamza, the PTI’s candidate, received “more than 100,000” votes while running for office from behind bars.
Imran Khan claimed that attempts were being made to “impose a money-laundering syndicate” on Pakistan and that the Sharif group was the “biggest money launderer” in the nation, alluding to his opponents’ attempts to create a coalition.
For CM, Gandapur
The PTI has chosen to propose Ali Amin Gandapur to be the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, despite the fact that the party has not discussed who would make a good prime minister.
Mr. Gandapur, a former federal minister in the PTI administration, ran in Dera Ismail Khan elections for two seats in the National Assembly (NA-44) and a provincial seat (PK-113). The candidates supported by the PTI secured a strong majority to establish the provincial government in KP.
Rumors concerning Imran Khan’s relocation from Adiala to Banigala, as well as claims of a purported meeting with “high-profile” individuals at the jail, were also refuted by the politician.
Additionally, he mentioned that his wife Bushra Bibi was being heard by the Islamabad High Court on her request to be transferred from Banigala, that was designated as a sub-jail, to the Adiala Jail.
In the Toshakhana case, a special court in January jailed Mr. Khan and his spouse. But Bushra Bibi was sent to Banigala, which the administration designated as a sub-jail.
A note of appreciation
“I express deep appreciation to the citizens of Pakistan for bestowing PTI with an overwhelming two-thirds majority,” he wrote in a greeting to PTI followers from behind bars. The large attendance was encouraging. The fact that families with women and children participated in the voting process perfectly captured the spirit of democracy.
The message on ‘X’ (previously Twitter) said, “I would like to especially applaud our online presence for its constant efforts to remain ahead of the curve.” “I also value the hardworking poll workers who, in spite of intimidation and threats, managed to obtain Form 45.”
Pakistani democracy and electoral fairness are desperately needed, since the people have made their decision quite plain. I caution against the foolishness of using forged ballots to establish a government. The previous prime minister continued, “Such daylight fraud will not only be disrespectful towards its citizens but will also further depress the nation’s economy.”
Founding Chairman Imran Khan's Message from jail through his family:
I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Pakistan for entrusting PTI with a resounding 2/3rd majority. It was heartening to see the massive turnout. The families voting together, including women and…

Along with praising the party’s youthful members for voting, Shah Mehmood Qureshi asserted that the foreign media had labeled the national election as rigged.
He claimed that the public has dismissed a probe into the allegations of rigging and rejected the parties formed against the PTI. He claimed that people could not accept the administration that was established through manipulated elections.
