ISLAMABAD: Heat wave gripping most parts of the country, especially plain areas, will persist during the next 24 hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Very hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours.
However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Mirpurkhas, Bannu, Kohat divisions, FATA and Kashmir and its adjoining areas during night.
According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low was lying over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending southeastwards.
Weak moist currents from Arabian sea are penetrating in central parts of the country.
The chief amount of rainfall was nill, recorded during the last 24 hours.
The highest temperature of 46øC was recorded in Sibbi, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Larkana, Jacobabad and Sukkur and 45øC in R.Y.Khan, Moenjodaro, Nokkundi, Dadu, Bahawalnagar, kot Addu, Lasbella, Rohri.
