Operation Zarb-e-Azb has not only destroyed the safe havens of TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan) but it has also destroyed the hopes of foreign backed militant organizations and the dreams of their bosses in foreign countries.
Ex-Afghan president Hamid Karzai and his policies not only damaged the national interest of Afghanistan but also destabilized the region. By giving a free hand to the Indian intelligence agencies in Afghanistan, Karzai created chaos in the region, especially in Pakistan, but with the change in Afghan government, the dust of terror, instability and uncertainty started to settle down. Cooperation between the Afghan and Pakistan governments over the issue of terrorism changed the whole scenario in the region.
Pakistan army’s decisive operation against the TTP after the attack on Army Public School Peshawar killed all the hopes of TTP and their foreign supporters. Most of the leaders of TTP have been killed and the others including its chief Fazlullah are on the run, which ultimately have brought some peace and stability in Pakistan.
The issues between the political parties in the country have been settled, with the start of dialogue between the government and opposition, after several months of protest by the latter, which ended after the attack on APS (Army Public School).
By finding peace and stability after a decade long war against terrorism, Pakistan Army arranged a 23rd March parade in Islamabad after 8 years, which was a symbolic message to the world that Pakistan has achieved a victory against the terrorists in the war against terrorism, and Pakistan will be back on the path of peace, stability and prosperity after this victory.
The message was clearly received by friends as well as the enemies of Pakistan. China’s President Xi Jinping visited Pakistan and signed $45 billion worth of investment agreements and our enemies started creating problems for the establishment in Balochistan. The following are some important incidents in this regard:
- There was an attempt to organize a talk, ‘Un-silencing Balochistan’ featuring Mama Qadeer at LUMS
- On 11th April, 20 laborers were killed at dam construction site in Turbat, BLF accepted the responsibility of the massacre
- Activist Sabeen Mehmud was shot dead in Karachi
- Three Hazaras were killed in a firing incident in Quetta
Our soldiers fought bravely against the terrorists and crushed them in Swat, South Waziristan, North Waziristan and other parts of FATA. Once they were only 160KM from Islamabad and today they are nowhere but our fight against terrorism has not ended yet.
These terrorists have been crushed in FATA but they are active in Balochistan, with the help of people like Mama Qadeer and their foreign sympathizers. Militant organizations like BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army), BLF (Balochistan Liberation Front) have been killing innocent people in Balochistan for a long time. People like Mama Qadeer and a few journalists blame the killings on security forces of Pakistan, without a shred of evidence and then a bunch of their so called liberal soldiers propagate their agendas on social media.
With the signing of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) from Gwadar to China, the activities of insurgents have also been increased. Whenever a progressive economical plan is started in Balochistan, the activities of insurgents also reach its climax.
In a recent visit to Balochistan, COAS warned the foreign intelligence agencies against trying to destabilize Pakistan by supporting terrorists in Balochistan and vowed to crush insurgency in Balochistan. There are also reports that Operation Zarb-e-Azb will be extended to Balochistan to fight insurgents.
For the stability & prosperity of Pakistan, it is important to crush terrorism from each and every part of the country, including Balochistan. The so called liberals and civil rights organizations, which were on the streets against Abdul Aziz, a sympathizer of TTP, should also fight with the same enthusiasm against the sympathizers of BLA, otherwise their hypocrisy will not be accepted by the people of Pakistan.
