RAWALPINDI: According to a source, Javed Iqbal Bajwa, the deputy station manager of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in Birmingham, resigned when it was discovered that his intermediate certificate was “bogus.”
According to reports, Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, the previous head of the army, is related to Javed Bajwa.
The intermediate certificate that Mr. Bajwa had provided as part of his work record was the subject of an investigation by PIA. The source claimed that after the certificate was discovered by the board to be “fake,” PIA asked Mr. Bajwa to step down from his position.
A PIA representative stated that on August 30, the airlines sent Mr. Bajwa a show-cause notice, requiring him to provide evidence of the legitimacy of his academic record within seven days.
The notification sent to Mr. Bajwa by the administration stated that the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore, had declared his intermediate certificate, which had roll number 25703 on it, to be “bogus.” Top officials had requested Mr. Bajwa’s resignation, the spokeswoman said to a TV broadcaster.
