QUETTA / KHUZDAR: On Wednesday, two men were hurt in a grenade attack in Khuzdar, and rockets struck the wall of the Achakzai residential estate on Quetta’s Khojak Road.
According to officials, three rockets were fired from an unidentified place toward Frontier Corps, North’s headquarters on Hali Road in Quetta. But near the FC headquarters on Khojak Road, they landed and detonated.
A senior police officer informed Dawn, “Three rockets exploded in the area, but no casualties were reported in the attack.” The source also mentioned that none of the missiles struck the FC headquarters. One of the rockets destroyed window panes in numerous homes and struck the Achakzai colony’s wall.
After the rocket strike, security personnel conducted a search and cleared the entire area.
In the meantime, a grenade attack on the Khuzdar irrigation department headquarters injured two people.
Unknown motorcycle riders threw a hand grenade at the office, which detonated in the courtyard, causing damage to the building and wounding an irrigation department engineer.
The injured were taken to the district hospital right away.
