MURREE: At least 10 people died when a chairlift fell down in Murree, ARY News reported.
The chairlift was installed by the local people between Charra Pani and Binwarri. Rescue teams have reached the site of the incident.
The injured were taken to Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi, said rescue officials, adding that the 10 deceased died on the spot right after the incident.
Last month, Four people were killed when a chairlift plunged into the Indus River near Summer Nullah area in Upper Kohistan.
The people were crossing the river while on way to Tangir area of Gilgit-Baltistan from Shitial, when the string holding the chairlift broke into two pieces, hurling them into the fast flowing river.
According to the locals, chairlift across the Indus is the only means of transporting people between Kohistan and Tangir.
