KARACHI: Naval Chief of Staff Admiral Mohammad Zakaullah on Sunday said that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be taken as weakness, adding that any misadventure by adversary would meet a befitting response.
The naval chief was inspecting Pakistan-China joint naval exercises. On the occasion, he said that in context of the CPEC plan and Gwadar port, the importance of joint exercises between Pakistan and China have increased.
Admiral Zakaullah said that Pakistan and China enjoy stable and historical relations.
He also discussed professional matters with Chinese crew during his visit, according to Navy spokesman.
According to a naval press release earlier, Chinese Navy Flotilla including Ocean Salvage & Rescue Ship Changxingdao and PLA (N) Ship Handan had arrived in Karachi on a goodwill visit to Pakistan.
The visiting Chinese naval ships have been taking part in fourth PN-PLA(N) bilateral exercise encompassing Harbour and Sea phases, according to the press release.
