At least 24 Shia Muslims, mostly Hazara community pilgrims, returning from Iran were killed and 35 more wounded when a bomb struck a passenger bus in Mastung yesterday. (Source)This was added to the wound of the Bannu attacks on Sunday, and the wave goes on…
The Bannu attack added fuel to the already burning issue of the negotiations with the unyielding TTP, which is probably behind the Mastung Attack too, hitting on the sensitive Shia/Sunni faultline of the country but the Bannu attacks need our attention due to their political significance.
Twenty security personnel were killed and thirty were injured in a bomb attack in Bannu Cantonment, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Inter-Services Public Relations said that an explosion took place in a civilian Toyota Hiace van inside the Bannu parade ground at 8:45 AM on Sunday. It was a rented vehicle used by the Frontier Corps for moving its troops. The blast took place when the men were seated inside the van and ready to leave in a convoy for North Waziristan Agency. (Source) Bannu has been the site of several attacks targeting security forces in the past.
Sources said that six bodies among the dead were unrecognizable due to the blast and DNA tests were being conducted to identify them. Fifteen of those critically injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar. Twenty soldiers died on the spot while thirty others suffered injuries. The death toll could rise as fifteen of the injured soldiers admitted to military hospitals in Bannu and Peshawar were critically wounded. It is not yet confirmed whether the Bannu blast was a suicide attack or the result of a planted bomb. (Source)
The blast has been condemned by all leaders and political parties. Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has decided to cancel his visit to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum in the wake of the fresh spear in terror incidents and the Bannu explosion.Reports are that Shahidullah Shahid, Spokesperson for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), told a foreign news channel that the TTP claimed responsibility for the deadly attack on the troops and that they would continue to target security forces. (Source)
Questions are being raised about why private vehicles were hired for moving the troops and the Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has sought details of the incident. Before that, the Taliban also caused a massive explosion in Karachi, killing the head of the counter-terrorism operations Chaudhry Aslam Khan and his gunman and driver.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan had on Friday demanded another All Parties Conference and asked the government to update the parties on the fate of the dialogue with the Taliban. He called it match fixing by the government and alleged that if no dialogue was started, how could the government claim failure and abandon the dialogue process. Leader of Awami National Party, Asfandyar Wali Khan, has also condemned the terrorist attack on the convoy of security forces. He has also expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the incident.
The interior minister said that an army team would probe the Bannu attack. Reports are that Pakistan Army helicopters fired missiles, killing three militants on Sunday, in retaliation for a Taliban bomb attack that killed 20 soldiers in Bannu blast. (Source)
All eyes are set on the National Security Policy, which is supposed to be implemented this year. But it depends on our government how they actually plan to eradicate this nuance, especially after the shameful history in this regard, as to how Pakistan’s Interior Ministry and its other departments used counter-terrorism funds for their foreign trips, paying utility bills in millions and sending gifts to important persons and close relatives. In the words of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. “A time comes when silence is betrayal. That time has come for us”.
The waves of militant / sectarian attacks has been going on now for atleast last 4-5 years and is expanding on an unprecedented scale. Ghalib rightly said “MARZ BARHTA GAYA JUN JUN DAWA KI”.
Who is responsible for this? USA, Israel, India, the ILLUMINATI / FREE MASON / ALEX JONES mambo jambo? Sadly it is none but us Pakistanis.
Out of a long list of enemies, unfortunately we have acquired a few more due to our collective national mistakes. These are the Taliban, and the sectarian warriors, who very conveniently are eating away at the roots of our existence that is PAKISTAN. Meanwhile, the enemies are literally laughing TFAO.
It is time for all the people to come together, mourn this national tragedy, especially one that happened in Mastung against innocent civilians including children, then demand a permanent solution and then press on as a nation till this problem is resolved either through force or dialogue. We have to caste away the sectarian or ethnic divide, console the families as one nation and then demand justice from the government as one entity. The loss of shia families is a loss for every Pakistani and a loss of Sunni family is again a loss for every Pakistani.
A time has come where political buffoons, rustic beauracratic jokers, hypocrite power hungry men of religion, violent militant idiots who can’t even sign their names properly – what to talk of having detailed knowledge of Quran, Sunnah, Fiqh – all have reduced this nation to a mere pitiful horde of bystanders. T’is the same nation who chanted in the face of English and the Hindu “BAN KE RAHE GA PAKISTAN”.
Taliban and these sectarian monkeys have certainly achieved those victories that India could never dream of on its own. And the nation can’t do anything except for cowering or fretting. “NALA HAY BULBUL E SHORIDA TERA KHAAM ABHI”. Perhaps Iqbal was right and perhaps our lament still lacks the passion that is needed in this hour.
“MIR E SIPAH NASAAZA LASHKARIYAN SHIKASTA SAF.
AAH WOH TEER E NEEM KASH
JIS KA NA HO KOI HADAF.
TERE MUHEET MAIN KAHIN GOHAR E ZINDAGI NAHIN.
DHUNDH CHUKA MAIN MAUJ MAUJ, DEKH CHUKA SADAF SADAF.
SUHBAT E PEER E RUM SE MUJH PE HUA YEH RAAZ FAASH.
LAAKH HAKIM SAR BA JEB AIK KALEEM SAR BAKAF.
MISL E KALEEM HO AGAR MARKA AZMA KOI.
AB BHI DARAKHT E TUR SE ATI HE BAANG E LA TAKHAF”
It is time now to just stop all the bickering, so called analysis, conflicts and collision. Just agree that we have to get rid of this cancer, get up and be one, become a tsunami first against the enemies within and then against those who are knocking at the doors.
An Appeal from a desperate Pakistani
Like I said WE kashmiris do not give a rats ass about the filth from Bannaris that spread in every direction.
It does not take much to incite Indians, you are exemplary in this. I have a genuine grievance as a kashmiri what’s yours, you speak as an Occupier, seeking the mass murder, rape of Kashmir to continue by a savage brutal opressive Indian government and army.
Kashmir is for Kashmiris meaning YOU INDIANS are not welcome and we belong with the rest of The Indus Valley.
I think we ALL know what WE KASHMIRIS want, you can conitnue your deceit Hindu of the Ganges. If we continue to see ALL HINDUS disrespectful to our losses then we will begin to view all Indians with contempt not just the vile army and government.

kya article hai aur kya comments hai?
A muslim is never a racist. Allah (swt) makes no difference between a muslim of Indus valley and a muslim of gangetic basin, a muslim with white skin and a muslim with dark skin. Your comments smell of racism and unislamic. I have said earlier also that if Kashmir is for Kashmiris then Balochistan is for Balochis and Sind is for sindhis and so on.
The same thinking is reflected by the killers of Mastung and others that Shias and Sunnis can not live together in Pakistan. Lets condemn terrorism.
And finally the fact is…
Your VALID appeal will be answered by a bullet.
You will achieve what you yearn for – PEACE (just add REST IN before that!)
To keep peace in pakistan it should be divided in to 3 countries Balochistan ,Sind & Pakistan(who wants seperate muslim nation)
To keep peace in sub continent and neighborhood, India should be divided into 40 countries. The option to name each country should be left to its neighbors, as a compensation for all the suffering they have been through because of this menace, used to be called India. Period.
Indian democracy and federalism give scope for 40 administrative units but even in extreme federalism also it will remain united under Indian tricolor.
No indian is allowed to say bad words on the basis of caste, religion, ethnicity, language etc. Indians from Arunachal to Kutch and Kashmir to Kanyakumari are proud of their passports.
Some indians, however, do feel that if balochistan, Sind and Pakhtoonistan become independent then Kashmir issue will be resolved forever.
By the way your id must be inspired from India’s “Satyamev Jayate” Truth Alone Triumphs.
