LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that there was no room for terrorism, extremism and sectarianism in Pakistan.
Decisive war was being fought against terrorists and their facilitators, and the whole nation was united and determined to root out the menace of terrorism.
He said that the war against terrorism would be taken to its logical end and the elements involved in bloodshed of innocent Pakistanis would not escape justice.
Talking to a delegation of elected representatives, here, Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistani nation had rendered supreme sacrifices in the war against terrorism and those who had killed innocent Pakistanis would find no place to hide.
He said that a war was also being fought with commitment and determination against lawlessness, poverty and ignorance.
Shahbaz Sharif said that cowardly activities of enemies of humanity could not weaken the resolve of the nation to achieve its objectives.
He elaborated that those who had given sorrow and grief to the nation would be brought to justice. The Chief Minister said that every Pakistani was grieved at Gulshan Iqbal Park tragedy.
He mentioned that enemies of peace had displayed worst brutality by attacking a recreational place of peaceful Pakistanis. He said that those who targeted innocent people would have to account for the blood of the martyrs.
The Chief Minister said that the promise of giving a peaceful, safe and terrorism-free Pakistan to the new generation would be fulfilled and the war against terrorism and extremism would continue till complete elimination of this menace.
