Police reported that a boy who lost his brother on Sunday due to suffocation in a parked automobile died on Monday while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Sharea Faisal police Station House Officer Faisal Gul Khawaja, giving the findings of the initial probe, said that the two infants — three-year-old Rauf Ali and four-year-old Hasaan Ali — were playing inside a parked car in Karachi’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar district.
According to what he said, Hassan lost consciousness and Rauf died from asphyxia inside the vehicle. After learning of the occurrence, police raced to the scene and took the deceased and the unconscious to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
Hasaan also died on Monday while receiving treatment, Khawaja said.
He mentioned that since the children’s car belonged to a close relative, nobody has been taken into custody.
One little boy was rescued in serious condition from Karachi in August, while the other boy died of asphyxia in a parked automobile.
The twin brothers met a similar end in July when they unintentionally trapped themselves inside a parked automobile and suffocated to death in the village of Budhla Sannat, close to Multan.
