Two soldiers were injured after a group of heavily armed militants attacked an army camp in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Heavy firing exchanges are now going on between the militants and forces, police said.
“A group of heavily armed militants, believed to be four-to-five in number, attacked the 166 field regiment camp in Nagrota area of Jammu today at around 6 am, the police said.
The field regiment camp is located in the garrison town of Nagrota near the headquarters of army’s 16 corps in the state.
The Jammu-Udhampur highway has been sealed while schools have also been shut in Nagrota area as a precautionary measure.
“Schools in Nagrota tehsil will not open today due to the ongoing militant attack,” said DC Jammu Simrandeep Singh.
