LAHORE: On Tuesday, a structure collapsed in the Hanjarwal district on Multan Road, resulting in the death of a small girl and the injuries of three others.
The LPG decanting outlet was one of the shops housed in the building.
Fiza, age six, was named as the victim of the incident; her father Yasir and sister Nayab, age eight, were sent to the hospital as injuries.
The building, which was already in disrepair, fell during the construction of its second level, according to police who quoted eyewitnesses.
A police officer stated that as soon as Rescue 1122 teams learned of the building collapse, they hurried to the scene, initiated a rescue operation, and pulled the injured people and the young girl’s body out of the rubble.
He claimed that an investigation has been started to determine who is responsible for the occurrence.
