KHUZDAR: A gunfight between two parties in the Kararo region of tehsil Wadh on Thursday night resulted in the deaths of four persons, including a tribal elder, and the injuries of numerous more.
According to officials, an armed attack on tribal elder Meharullah Muhammad Hasni’s vehicle on the Quetta-Karachi route caused the gunshots to break out.
According to the Khuzdar deputy commissioner, “automatic weapons were used to open fire on armed men who were positioned in the mountains in the Kararo area.”
The tribal leader was accompanied by security personnel who returned fire, according to a senior police officer.
Meharullah and three other people were slain in the attack, according to confirmation from the Khuzdar DC. The elder of the tribe was traveling from Quetta to Hub.
According to the Khuzdar DIG, the gunfire was still going on, and travel between Khuzdar and Karachi was halted.
