KARACHI: According to police, a young guy was discovered shot to death in his DHA residence on Monday night.
It was claimed that his wife was “missing” and that she had left the scene of what seemed to be her husband’s murder.
According to DIG-South Syed Asad Raza, Jehanzeb Malik’s body, 34, was discovered in an apartment building in a DHA high-rise on the 20th floor.
He said that the victim had a back-of-the-head bullet wound.
In order to complete the medicolegal procedures, the body was moved to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
Three spent round casings, four live rounds, and a 9mm handgun were retrieved from the scene by the police’s Crime Scene Unit.
According to the DIG, the victim, his South African spouse, and their two kids were visiting their grandfather’s house when the crime happened. He said that the pair had freely decided to tie the knot approximately five years prior.
He claimed that when the pair got into a fight, the wife looked to have shot him and left the area. This information was shared with the authorities. To prevent her from boarding any flights, the police had notified the airport authorities.
According to police surgeon Sumaiyya Syed, the victim only had one gunshot wound to the head.
