LAKKI MARWAT: On Tuesday, a group of unidentified miscreants attacked six police officers in the Township area of Bannu, causing injuries.
A police van including members of the Quick Response Force was attacked close to the Mohajir Camp neighborhood. According to an official, “law enforcement was heading to the Domel area to support the police in their actions against anti-social elements.” Six people were hurt in the ambush of the police van, he claimed: Tehseenullah, driver Mohammad Asif, Razadullah, Zainullah, Sajid, and Arif. They were moved to the hospital at Khalifa Gul Nawaz.
Zainullah was then transferred to a Peshawar hospital due to his poor condition.
According to the source, a sizable police presence arrived and began looking for the attackers.
In a related incident, a vehicle and automobile collided in Bannu on Tuesday, killing two and injuring four more.
Tahir Khan, one of the injured, was in the van when it crashed head-on with a negligently driven car in the Township. Khan informed the police this information.
He added that he was hurt in the accident, along with his father Mir Hasan Shah, uncle Zahidullah, and relatives Zahir Khan and Ahmad Hussain, as well as the driver of the automobile, Khatir Khan.
According to him, his father and uncle were declared deceased at the Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital after the injured were transported there. In accordance with the legal provisions, the police filed a case and started their investigation.
