Officials in Khanewal district’s Mian Channu said that on Wednesday, a speeding automobile struck one student, killing him, and injuring two others.
According to a statement released by Rescue 1122, the event happened in front of the Government Girls Model High School, and the children were struck by the car while they were en route to school. It stated that the collision totaled the automobile.
It further stated that the two injured were sent to the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital and that the deceased, Shiza, was an eighth grader.
Rana Umar Farooq, the District Police Officer (DPO) for Khanewal, announced that the driver of the car that had first fled the scene had been taken into custody. He also verified the totality of casualties in a statement.
“Legal proceedings have been initiated and a case has been registered,” he continued. Along with expressing his sympathies, he assured the grieving family that the case will meet all legal criteria.
As this was going on, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz became aware of the occurrence. She asked the Multan Commissioner for a report and, once the guilty parties had been identified, she issued an order for swift action.
She gave the deputy commissioner of Khanewal instructions to give the injured patients the best medical care possible.
