SIALKOT: Under-17 football team of SOS Village will take part in 2015 ‘Hope For Mundial World Cup’ being held in Poland, said Chairperson SOS village Shahana Shabbir.
Addressing a function in honour of touring football team held last evening, she said the team would leave for Poland shortly to participate in World Cup Football matches.
Pakistan is participating first time in this international event and it is honour for SOS Sialkot football team to represent Pakistan in the World Cup, she said.
Shahana Shabbir disclosed that Habib Bank Limited (HBL) was sponsoring this visit of the Football Team which is a healthy sign to encourage the SOS team while Polish Ambassador had exempted visa fee of the team and supported in arranging visas on a short notice, she said.
Speaking on the occasion, Azizah Shabbir informed that over 35 countries including France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Zimbabwe and Thailand etc were taking part in the under-17 World Football Cup 2015.
‘Hope for Mundial Association’ is a Poland based non-profit organization which awakens sports talent among children in care homes all over the world, she said.
Ex-President Sialkot District Bar Association Shahid Mir and Vice Present Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Malik Naseer Ahmad also spoke on the occasion.
