Temperature drops below zero degree Celsius in parts of Balochistan
Siberian winds have caused a temperature drop below zero degree Celsius in the upper parts of Balochistan including Quetta, Ziarat, Kalat and Dalbandin.
In Ziarat, the lowest recorded temperature was minus 8 degree Celsius. Temperature drop in other parts of Balochistan resulted in lowest recorded temperature of minus 5 degree Celsius in Kalat and minus 6 degree Celsius in Quetta.
The cold climate has caused water in springs to freeze. The locals of the province are also facing trouble due to low pressure of gas with the temperature decrease.
Gas pressure has been recorded low in parts of the Balochistan capital including Arif Road, Sirki, Saryab Road, Maikangi Road and other areas. The gas outages have also created difficulties for the people.
Met Office has predicted that the temperature will remain cold and dry during the next 24 hours. There will be rain and snowfall from next Saturday in Balochistan, as per the forecast.
