Fuffu is admitted in Surgical Operation Ward at SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura.
He was hit on face by firearm shot on Saturday morning at his house in Shah Colony Parimpora here.
As per his family, he was hit by “bullet on face while shutting door of his house to save his family for harm when forces arrived in the area.”
“He is finding difficult to talk as the nerve on right side of his face has been damaged by the bullet which pierced his face,” says his wife, Shameema who was sitting next to bed in the hospital.
As Shameema narrates the incident, Fuffu’s tries hard to speak about the incident but only manages to stammer few lines which are hard to decipher and breaks down while recalling the fateful incident.
“Why was he fired,” asks Shameema “He was not part of any protesting march or hurling stones. He went out of his home to close main door in order to save his family for any harm. He was worried about our teenage sons who were inside the house”
Ali Muhammad Fuffu is a cart puller at Parimpora Fruit Mandi who earns his livelihood by pulling cart laden with vegetables and fruits.
Fuffu, father of two teenage sons aged 12 and 15 years, is the lone bread winner for his family.

A senior medico treating him at SKIMS said that he is scheduled for plastic surgery treatment. “We are monitoring his progress, but his facial nerve has been damaged by the firearm which had pierced his right side of the face,” he said.
While his family mentions he was hit by bullet, but doctors at SKIMS say, “there is mention of firearm on his referral file as he was earlier treated at JVC Bemina so we cannot clearly say whether it was a bullet or rubber bullet was removed from his face.”
