ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast scattered monsoon rain in upper Punjab, upper KP and parts of Balochistan during next 24 hours.

Monsoon currents are penetrating in central and upper parts of the country. A fresh westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist till Thursday. Under the influence of these meteorological conditions weather will remain as follows:

Mainly hot & humid weather expected in most parts of the country. However, scattered rain/dust-thundershowers is expected in Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad), Bahawalpur divisions, upper K.P (Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat), Zhob and Sibbi divisions of Balochistan.
Next 48 hrs:
Mainly hot and humid weather expected in most parts of the country. However, scattered rain/dust-thundershowers is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, D.G. Khan, Hazara, Mardan, D.I khan, Kohat, Zhob, Sibbi divisions and Kashmir. Isolated heavy falls is expected in Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi divisions.

Rain/dust-thundershowers occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in Gujranwala, Sargodha, Quetta, Zhob and D.I khan divisions.
