RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said that any threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity would evoke a strong response from Pakistan.
This he said while meeting Saudi deputy crown prince and Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud who called on the COAS at General Headquarters this afternoon.
In a statement toady, ISPR said that two sides discussed matters related to regional security and defence cooperation during the meeting.
“Pakistan enjoys close and brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and attaches great importance to their security,” the COAS said.
“Pakistan holds its defence ties with KSA in highest esteem and re-asserted that any threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity would evoke a strong response from Pakistan.”
Speaking on this occasion, Saudi Defence Minister said KSA attaches great importance to Pakistan and its armed forces and appreciates their successes in fight against terrorism and efforts for regional stability.
