LAHORE: After deciding to gather employee data, the Punjab government is thinking of relaunching the health card program in a “sustainable manner.”
The project was started by the previous PTI government.
The Punjab government would revive the health card program in a “sustainable manner,” according to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who stated on Thursday that the program was a PML-N project.
She presided over a meeting and gave the go-ahead for the authorities to establish a working group to improve the health card and provide a feasible proposal in three months.
She said that safety precautions would be taken to safeguard manufacturing workers and gave the authorities instructions to launch a mobile lab initiative for occupational safety and health specifically for that reason. She tried to get laws passed to safeguard motorcycle riders who work for rider services.
The gathering was informed of the issuance of labor cards to workers earning a daily pay, which will grant them access to social security, and about labor complexes in Sheikhupura and Rawalpindi, which will house the families of workers.
The CM, who was presiding over a different meeting of the School Education Department, approved the reorganization of the Punjab Curriculum Wing and directed the rebuilding of the School Education Council.
She expressed her outrage at the delay in giving students free textbooks. She looked for a strategy to switch Punjabi schools over to solar power. The idea to open coaching centers in the evenings and afternoons at schools was also examined.
We also addressed issues related to the school transportation program and electric bikes.
Concurrently, the CM directed the start of work on five expressways and established a six-month timeline for the province’s link road development and maintenance.
