LAHORE: The party has decided to nominate Zulfi Bukhari and Hamid Khan for the Senate, according to former PTI provincial minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, who has been in hiding since the May 9 arson attacks.
Col. (retired) Ijaz Minhas, the leader of the party, has been nominated to fill general seat coverage.
The women and technocrats running for seats would be Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Brig (retired) Musadiq.
In a subsequent tweet, Mr. Iqbal said that Ahmad Mujtaba, Ali Imtiaz Warraich, and Sardar Shahabuddin Khan Sehr were also the party’s nominees for the Punjab Assembly budget committee.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has drawn harsh criticism from Mian Aslam Iqbal for her insistence that the tyres on her bulletproof car be changed. He said that for the current fiscal year, the finance department has been asked by the chief minister’s office to release an additional budget of Rs. 27.3 million.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid
Dr. Yasmin Rashid, the president of PTI Central Punjab, claims that despite numerous court orders, the current government has made the courts into a laughingstock by refusing to meet with Imran Khan.
In an official, signed statement released on Thursday, Dr. Rashid emphasized that the level of lawlessness had escalated to never-before-seen proportions.
According to the PTI leader, the historic rigging of the general elections on February 8 was made possible by the suspension of internet and mobile services under the guise of fighting terrorism. Dr. Rashid pointed out that the government halted the X service in an attempt to calm public outrage after the Rawalpindi division commissioner revealed widespread electoral manipulation. The X service has not yet been brought back up to date.
PTI Central President Parvez Elahi, who is incarcerated, claims that the Adiala Jail meeting prohibition is unlawful.
During his appearance before the FIA court in Lahore, he informed media that the PTI will continue to demonstrate across the country until its mandate was restored and that all opposition parties would soon unite on a single platform to denounce election manipulation.
Vote stealers in the federal and provincial cabinets, Mr. Elahi continued, are a disgrace to the people’s mandate and would finally turn the Form 45 into a noose for the pretend rulers. He claimed that the PML-N was pursuing politics of retaliation rather than peace.
Protest
In defiance of pleas from the current administration to “move forward,” the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has chosen to press on with nonviolent demonstrations, unwaveringly upholding the will of the people as represented by Imran Khan, the party’s founder chairman.
Hammad Azhar, the general secretary of PTI Central Punjab, condemned the idea of “moving forward” and giving legitimacy to those who lost elections and saw their party lose ground in the polls.
As a result of any negotiated political settlement, he declared, “Let’s be very clear: only a fool can assume that beneficiaries of rigging will ever want to return the people’s mandate.”Mr. Azhar claimed in a another tweet that although Hussain and Hassan, the sons of Nawaz Sharif, were listed as absconders five years prior, they were treated with protocol rather than arrest upon their arrival at the Lahore airport.
He later claimed in a tweet that police had canceled the arrest warrants and had not made any additional arrests.
