QUETTA: A number of PTI leaders have been charged for allegedly making anti-state and provocative remarks at a public meeting in the Pishin neighborhood of Bostan.
A formal complaint has been filed by the Levies police station against Shehryar Afridi, Shandana Gulzar, Haleem Adil Sheikh, and Dawood Shah Kakar, among other PTI leaders.
Sections of the Pakistan Penal Code pertaining to advocacy against Pakistan’s sovereignty, sedition, rioting, 143 (punishment for unlawful assembly), 186 (obstructing public servant’s duties), and 353 (assault on public servant) were among the accusations listed in the FIR.
The FIR contained sections of the loudspeaker legislation as well.
The following PTI leaders have also been nominated: Nawabzada Sharif Jogezai, Noor Khan Khilji, Abdul Bari Bareech, Abdul Rahim Kakar, Akram Tareen, Abdul Bari Kakar, Atiq Khan Kakar, Saddiq Tareen, and Muazzam Butt Advocate.
But as of yet, no PTI leader has been taken into custody.
