ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, the founder chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), has named four additional party focal points.
Four more members have joined the party, bringing the total number of focus persons to seven.
There used to be three main figures:
Umair Khan Niazi, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan PTI Chairman, and Sher Afzal Marwat.
Senator Ali Zafar, Senator Shibli Faraz, Attorney Intezar Hussain Panjotha, and Omar Ayub Khan, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, are the four new focus points.
There were rumors circulating a few days prior stating that Mr. Khan had taken Mr. Marwat from the list of key figures. But the same day, Mr. Marwat refuted these rumors.
The PTI’s media wing claims that four more focus persons have been nominated, bringing the total number of focal persons to seven. No focal person has been withdrawn.
Raoof Hasan, the Central Information Secretary for the PTI, told Dawn on Thursday that he visited PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail and discovered him to be in a good mood.
“Imran Khan was in a good mood and declared that the PTI will begin a large-scale protest movement following Eidul Fitr. With the backing of our coalition partners, we want to launch a campaign of protest against poll fraud. The next protest date will be revealed at a public gathering in Pishin on April 12, he stated.
