Karachi produced an all-rounder performance to outclass last year’s runners up Quetta Gladiators in the second match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) third edition in Dubai on Friday.
After opting to bat first, Kings posted 149 for the loss of nine wickets, courtesy Colin Ingram’s 41 off 21 with the help of five fours and two sixes.
Veteran all-rounder Shane Watson was the pick of the bowlers for Sarfraz Ahmed-led unit, as he claimed three wickets and just gave away 22 runs in his four overs.
In reply, Gladiators fell 20 runs short of the target and only managed to post 130 for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Left-handed batsman Umar Amin finished the innings with the top score of run-a-ball 31 with the help of four fours, whereas all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz scored fighting 30 off 20, including three fours and one six.
For Kings, captain Imad and pacers Tymal Mills and Muhammad Irfan claimed two wickets each.
