ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Sunday decided to make significant changes in the Sindh cabinet including bringing in a new Chief Minister.
According to a PPP handout, the decision was taken when senior leaders of the party met with former President and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Dubai today.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is scheduled to return to Karachi early in the week starting from Monday to meet party’s provincial leaders and Member’s of Sindh Assembly before finalising changes in the Sindh cabinet, said the handout.
It further said that PPP has decided to make organisational changes in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources revealed that the decision to remove CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah was taken by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
They also said that the name for new CM would also be decided by the party chairman.
Zardari especially flew from London to Dubai on Thursday to have consultations with the Sindh CM and with his top aides.
The top leadership of the PPP flew to Dubai yesterday to meet former President and discuss critical matters.
