KHYBER: Due to their connections to drug dealers and theft of drugs that had been recovered, six police officers were fired by the district police officer of Khyber tribal district Salim Abbas Kulachi on Thursday.
According to a statement released by the Shah Kas Police Centre in Jamrud, the expulsion of former SHO of Jamrud Shamshad Khan, moharrar Akhtar Hussain, additional SHO Khalid Khan, and police officers Islam Shah, Aziz Khan, and Shah Zeb occurred in light of an official inquiry report.
It further stated that additional officials who were purportedly engaged in comparable illicit operations were being profiled by the police.

The investigation committee’s recommendation to remove those officials from office was made in response to the discovery of “solid evidence” linking them to the theft of drugs that had been seized from the store and their notification of drug traffickers and smugglers prior to a police sweep.
They are also found to be engaged in the theft of drugs that have been seized.
