On Tuesday in the Mansehra area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a man and his son were killed and his daughter was kidnapped by a close friend, according to authorities.
Shafiullah Gandapur, the district police officer (DPO), informed Dawn.com that the incident happened on Tuesday in the vicinity of the Dak Centre on the Hazara Motorway in Mansehra.
Three other family members were also hurt in the event, DPO Gandapur added. “The suspects have been arrested and the abducted girl was recovered six hours after the incident.”
The DPO claims that Nosheen Bibi, the wife of the deceased man, informed the police in the first information report (FIR) that she arrived to the Shah Maqsood interchange of the Hazara Motorway with her husband, son, and daughters, as well as her husband’s friend Shoaib and his accomplices.
She claimed that the family had rebuffed the suspect’s requests to allow her daughter to ride in his vehicle.
“Shoaib forcibly removed our son Zain Mehmood to their car after we refused,” Bibi claimed in the FIR, a copy of which can be found on Dawn.com.
She also stated that Shoaib killed her husband at around midnight in Mansehra after arriving at the police line.
“My husband was killed instantly by Shoaib’s indiscriminate fire at our car,” the woman claimed.
Tariq Mehmood, a resident of Takra, was killed instantly, according to DPO Gandapur, while the other passengers sustained injuries.
Zain’s body was discovered close to the police line, according to the chief of the Mansehra police department, and suspects Muhammad Asif and Mohammed Shoaib were taken into custody.
According to the DPO, the police have located the girl who was abducted, and at the Mansehra city police station, a FIR has been filed against the suspects under the Pakistan Penal Code’s sections 302 (murder), 365 (kidnapping or abduction), 324 (attempt to murder), 427 (causing damage), and 34 (common intention).
