Israel must not lose the opportunity to make peace with the Palestinians, or it will be replaced by great disappointment, President Shimon Peres said Sunday at the World Economic Forum conference in Jordan. “We have to overcome skepticism and doubt,” he said.
“I believe there is a real possibility as far as the Palestinians are concerned,” he added, looking to a two-state solution with two states living side by side in peace and dignity.
The president said he is aware of problems that exists in the peace process, but asserted that they can be overcome. “It is important not to waste time and return to talks,” he stressed.
