Pakistan put up an extraordinary effort in the field and managed to run four Bangladesh batters out restricting the latter to 113-9 in their third Women’s World T20 group stage match at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi on Thursday.
Pakistan wicket-keeper Sidra Nawaz, who was a live-wire behind the stumps, was involved in two of the four run-outs while spinner Anam Amin bagged two wickets.
Fargana Hoque was Bangladesh’s highest-run getter with 36 of 37 balls while the remaining batters failed to provide assistance to her.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Jahanara Alam won the toss and decided to bat as they took on high-flying Pakistan.
Sana Mir and company beat arch-rivals India by 2 runs (DL method) in their last match which was affected by rain and ended up on the losing side against West Indies in their first World T20 outing.
