British Ambassador to Afghanistan Sir Nicholas Kay has emphasised the need for joint efforts by governments in Islamabad and Kabul to ensure “greater security and stability in the region”.
The UK envoy remarked during his meetings with Pakistani officials, according to an official statement issued on Wednesday.
Nicholas Kay also said that it is imperative for Pakistan to foster stronger relations with its neighbour for improved regional security.
Kay’s visit is the latest in a series of exchanges by British ambassadors and high commissioners to share perspectives and increase understanding of the region.
It also follows the visit of the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew to Kabul back in October last year.
The whole world knows it is in the interest of Afghanistan and Pakistan to have a brotherly relationship and resolve all disputes and work towards regional peace and prosperity.
Unfortunately,
It is the remnants of the North Alliance in government that have an alliance with India seeking to derail the peace process and harm Pakistani sovereignty through terrorists entering from Afghanistan.
The ex North Alliance DO NOT even represent the majority but the minority but due to US MISCALCULATIONS and BLIND SIGHTEDNESS remain the biggest obstacle to peace along with their darling India.
We Pakistanis love Afghanistan amd see them as family but there is only so much we can take. Isolating Afghanistan until the ex N.Alliance war lords fight and kill each other or go bankrupt is a better solution right now for the security and development of Pakistan.
An Afghanistan minus India and treacherous Tajik Afghans (N.Alliance) is a better Afghanistan for everyone.
Sadly the US has backed the wrong horse and therefore will not pass the finishing line…
Afghanistan will continue to burn and the region remain destabilised and not move towards progression and development.
It is not in the US interest to support a N.Alliance and an Indian agenda within Afghanistan.
It is in India’s interest that central asia remains destabilised and with it her arch rival Pakistan because of the direct effect on economy and security of the region making India economically strong and an imperial power.
The N.Alliance continue to benefit through an extended lease of life, continue to plunder and loot Afghanistan.
The US has the wrong long term friends in Afghanistan. A prosperous stable Afghanistan connected with West, Central Asia, Pakistan and Middle East eill become a vibrant economy that US could successfully invest in but not in turmoil.
