Haris Rauf of Lahore Qalandars has been ruled out of the current Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to a dislocated shoulder sustained during the team’s loss against Karachi Kings last night, the team said on Sunday.
The team announced in a news statement that Haris hurt his shoulder in the 20th over while finishing a catch to remove Hasan Ali of the Kings.

“He walked out with his arm strapped and had scans done, despite the damage. The Qalandars claimed that Rauf had an outstanding performance. He bowled the most economical four overs last night, giving up 22 runs with one wicket, and was instrumental in winning the game in the final over.
It continued by saying that Haris would have to miss the PSL season since the medical panel had determined, following consultation, that he would require four to six weeks to recuperate.

Team Director Sameen Rana was cited in the news release as stating that Haris had been an important member of the bowling assault and that his absence would be regretted.
“We didn’t want to jeopardize his chances of succeeding as a national, even though it’s not a serious injury or broken bone. In the remaining PSL games, Lahore Qalandars are committed to putting on great performances, he stated.
Shaheen Afridi, the captain of Qalandars, expressed the team’s tremendous sadness over Haris’ injuries and that it hurt to watch him miss out because he had been a rock of strength for them.
“We will feel his absence,” Shaheen remarked.
Shaheen expressed his gratitude for the pacer’s quick recovery and added, “It’s indeed a setback for the team, but he is also Pakistan’s main bowler, and with a great deal of cricket forthcoming , our strategy was to give him optimum time to recover.” We eagerly await the player’s return to the field.
“During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with him,” he continued.
It should be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board revoked Haris’ primary contract earlier this month in response to an investigation regarding his purported refusal to travel with Pakistan’s Test team to Australia in 2023–2024.
Chief selector Wahab Riaz stated in November of last year that Haris had informed selectors he wanted to concentrate on white ball cricket in order to control his workload and had declined to participate in the Test tour of Australia.
The cricket board stated, “Haris’ central contract has been ended from December 1, 2023, alongside no NOC (No objection certificate) to play any foreign tournament will be granted up to June 30, 2024, after an extensive hearing process executed by a PCB committee that takes into account the views of all stakeholders involved in the matter.”
