RAWALPINDI: Under the ongoing operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, Punjab Rangers, Counter-terrorism Department, police and security agencies conducted a combined operation, arresting 11 facilitators from a proscribed organisation, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations statement.
According to the military’s media cell, the combined operations were conducted in Lahore, DG Khan and Rawalpindi.
The arrested terrorists belong to proscribed Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, according to the ISPR.
The security forces recovered arms and ammunition as well from the terrorists’ possession.
According to the ISPR, the ammunition was to be used to in terrorist activities in Punjab.
Pakistan had launched a nationwide military operation ‘Radd-ul-Fasaad’ in February 2017, which was based on broad-spectrum security and counter-terrorism operations in Punjab, and continuation of ongoing operations across the country.
