A Central Reserve Police Force trooper committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at Sonwar area on the outskirt’s of Srinagar city late Tuesday evening.
Official sources said constable Rakesh Kumar (belt no. 110040933) of 79 bn posted at Sonwar camp, shot himself with his service rifle. “After hearing gunshot his colleague rushed to him where he was found lying in pool of blood,” they said.
The trooper, a resident of Bihar, was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, sources added.
