Islamabad—Punjab government has established a new college in Rawalpindi to impart technical education to the local students.
“Government College of Technology” has been established on Farooq-e-Azam road at Shamsabad near Divisional Public School. At present, there is no technical college in the area in government sector.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, the principle of the college, Changez Hussain said that three-year diploma classes in the college will start after announcement of metric results.
He said the college offers four technologies at the moment in three year category, including Electrical, Auto and Diesel, Civil and Air Conditioning.
Moreover, nine courses of nine year duration, seven of six months and three of three months durations will also be started, he added. The principal said the classes in the college are expected to start from first of September this year.
