ISLAMABAD: National Electric Production and Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has reduced power prices by over Rs. 1 per unit, Samaa reported.
According to details, Nepra has announced a Rs. 1.70 per unit reduction in electricity rates.
The rates have been revised due to fuel adjustments under the month of July.
The new rates will not be applicable to the consumers of K-Electric (KE).
The cost of energy production for the month of July was Rs. 4.78 per unit while the consumers had to pay Rs. 6.49 per unit in the electricity bills for June.
