The meeting, led by Mufti Munibur Rehman, would be held at the Met office where evidences of new crescent moon for the new Hijri year would be collected. The zonal committees will also hold meetings at their respective locations.
According to meteorologists, the sky is expected to be clear in most parts of the country, so there are chances that the moon will be sighted tonight and 10th of Muharram (Youm-e-Ashoor) will be observed on Sunday (1st October).
The new Islamic year 1439 has already been started in Gulf, European and many other countries from Thursday.
