LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr Akhtar Malik has said there’s no room fornon-performing officers in the department while active officers will be encouraged.
He said this while addressing the 6th MSs CEOs Health Conference at a original hostel Monday.
The minister asked Medical directors and CEOs to install all packed medical andbio-medical outfit lying in health installations and get them functional within two weeks for convenience of cases, failing which, tardy MSs or CEOs will be held responsible.
The CEOs health of all sections and MS DHQ/ THQ hospitals attended the questionable through videotape link.
Secretary health Dr Irshad Ahmad, Special Secretary Saleha Saeed, fresh registers Khizer Afzal, Muhammad Sajjad, DH Health Services Dr Haroon Jahangir, and Project Directors of colorful programs were also present.
Dr Akhtar Malik said that performance of CEOs for the last two months was reviewed on the base of pointers of Helpline 1033, pension and wordbook cases, procurement of drugs, dengue, and polio situation. IT interventions, TB, AIDS, Hepatitis control programs, NCD, BERC and primary healthcare roadmap.
The minister health directed the MSs CEOs to insure attendance of their staff through biometric system and check wrong entry of data on the dashboard. He said that some irregularities were reported in drug procurement in Mianwali for whichAnti-corruption Establishment has been asked to take over inquiry against responsible bones. He also advised of strict action against officers involved in late procurement of drugs in Lodhran and Muzaffargarh sections.
Dr Akhtar Malik said that aroundRs.3.2 billion worth medical outfit is being carried for health installations of Punjab. He directed to insure sufficient stock ofanti-rabies andanti-snake banes, besides other drugs in all hospitals.
Dr Irshad Ahmad said that health brigades are laboriously visiting health installations to review their performance.
