KARACHI: During a fight in Bahadurabad, a man killed both his father-in-law and his little daughter, according to the police.
SSP-East According to Dr. Farrukh Raza, the event happened inside an apartment in Star Home in BMCHS where suspect Sikander Javed killed his father-in-law Zubair Razzaq and his seven-month-old daughter Fatima after a heated dispute over a domestic issue.
Sikander was able to get away from the scene after the event.
SP Gulshan According to Abdul Aleem, “torture” was the cause of death for both the dad and his granddaughter.
He said that it was being handled by the police as a double murder investigation.
According to police surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed, both Zubair and his granddaughter Fatima died from head injuries. The post-mortem examination of Zubair was completed on Sunday, and the autopsy of Fatima was completed on Monday.
She stated, “Both had multiple injuries all over their bodies,” and that in both cases, the brain traumas proved to be fatal.
Based on a complaint from the victim’s son, Fahad Zubair, the New Town police filed a murder case against Sikander and his mother, Erum, on Monday.
The complainant said in the FIR that his sister Hira wed Sikander in December 2022, and the two of them had a daughter who was seven months old. According to his allegations, the suspect engaged in “immoral activities,” which led to frequent arguments between the couple.
He stated that his sister had previously left her in-laws’ home three or four times, but they had always convinced her to come back. But on Sunday night, his sister called to complain that Sikander was fighting with her all the time and that she didn’t want to stay at home.
Around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, when her father and other family members arrived at Sikander’s Bahadurabad apartment, the suspect began hitting Zubair. Meanwhile, her sister contacted Madadgar 15, who arrived at the site, carried his father and niece to their house, then to a neighboring hospital, which referred them to Aga Khan University Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced them deceased.
The bodies were then moved for medico-legal procedures at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
Haji Suleman, a merchant in Jamshed Quarters, passed away on Monday after a stray gunshot struck him in the head outside his establishment.
