KARACHI: Early on Thursday morning, authorities claimed, a young delivery man was shot and killed on Gulshan-i-Iqbal’s prominent University Road.
The victim’s family felt that Muhammad Waqas, 22, was slain by armed robbers, but the authorities were dubious of the specific motive because the attackers did not rob him.
The event happened in a lonely area adjacent to a PSO gas pump near the University of Karachi, according to the Mobina Town police. He had gone there late on Wednesday night to deliver food. He was the brother of three sisters and the lone son of his parents. In Gulzar-i-Hijri, he resided.
Area SHO Mohammed Nawaz said that the murderers did not take away his money, cell phone, or motorcycle, ruling out the likelihood of a robbery-related murder. According to Awais, the victim’s cousin, Waqas was a foodpanda delivery man. He claimed that Waqas called his cousin after getting shot, but he was unable to explain what had happened to him.
He declared that the victim was a kind person who had no animosity toward anyone.
According to the relative, Waqas’s resistance led to the thieves shooting him dead.
