ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain on Thursday said there is a need of exploring important trade areas between Pakistan and Malaysia and must be fully utilized.
He expressed these views in a meeting with Chief of Army Staff of Malaysia, held on the sideline of 5th largest Defence Exhibition there.
On the occasion, Malaysian Army Chief said Pakistan has a grown defence industry and the products showcased at Pakistan Pavilion speaks volume of technical expertise Pakistan holds in this regard.
He showed keen interest in defence products being produced in Pakistan and also rated them of “low cost and right quality.”
He also expressed desire that military trainings between Pakistan and Malaysia should further expand and commended the level of expertise of Pakistan in this regard, said a message received here.
Later, the Minister visited Pakistan Embassy in Malaysia and was greeted by the Ambassador.
Rana Tanveer also visited Malaysia Resource Corporation (MRC) and held meeting with top officials of the Corporation.
He was given a briefing about working of all important projects like metro bus, hotels and housing schemes.
He was apprised that all these projects get support from employees fund and people of Malaysia add to development of the country.
The Minister termed all the meetings highly fruitful and appreciated Malaysian model of development.
