The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday declared the timetable of New Zealand’s “double visits” to Pakistan.
The Blackcaps will have two Tests as impact of their Reality Test title protection and three World Cup Super Association apparatuses from December 27 to January 15.
Kane Williamson’s side — on the main leg of the visit — will play Test matches in Karachi from December 27-31 and January 4-8 in Multan. The group will then get back to the port city to play three ICC Super Association matches from January 11-15.
The Karachi Test will be New Zealand’s most memorable in the city since October 1990.
The second leg of the visit will have five T20Is and as numerous ODIs. Karachi will have four T20Is from April 13-19, while one T20I and two ODIS will be played in Lahore from April 23-28.
The last leg of the series will get back to Rawalpindi for three ODIs from May 1-7.
Curiously, the Dark Covers will close the second leg of their visit from a similar city where they unexpectedly dropped their last visit over a “security alert”. According to the PCB the second leg of the visit is a “make up” for the neglected visit.
PCB Chief Zakir Khan, while discussing the visit, said that New Zealand is one of the great performing sides and the matches will give amazing open doors to the young people to proceed to watch and follow their number one players in real life.
David White, who is New Zealand Cricket’s CEO, said that the group is anticipating the double visits.
“The new visits from Australia and Britain have left us in no question with respect to the nature of the Pakistan side across all configurations, and the degree of the test that looks for us,” he added.
