BEIRUT/DAMASCUS: Four persons were killed by Israeli airstrikes in Syria and Lebanon on Wednesday, according to security and media sources.
A woman and a kid were killed in one of the attacks in south Lebanon, according to sources, days after Hezbollah threatened to exact revenge on Israel for murdering civilians during the fighting across the Israeli-Lebanese border.
Two security officials and a medical source said that the lady and girl had been murdered in the hit in Majdal Zoun, a community about 6 kilometers from the border.
According to a statement released on X by Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, the Israeli army attacked “a military building” in the southern Lebanon village of Yaroun, and Israeli warplanes raided three Hezbollah operational headquarters in the region.
Majdal Zoun, which is roughly an hour’s drive from Yaroun, was not mentioned.
On Wednesday, the Hezbollah movement declared that it had launched over six attacks against Israeli forces.
