ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to gear up the investigation process of mega corruption cases without any fear.
Presiding a high level meeting here on Wednesday, Nisar said that mega corruption cases should be completed immediately within days so that the challans could be submitted in the courts for further legal action.
He said that cases would be brought to the relevant courts and justice would be done in each case without any discrimination.
The cases of corruption reviewed in the meeting included Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI), Trade Development Authority, Evacuee Trust Property Board, New Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Pakistan State Oil and Hajj Scheme scandals.
Interior Minister also announced to form a policy for International Non Governmental Organizations after Eid-ul-Fitr.
Nisar also directed NADRA and Passport departments to improve the online system of CNIC and Passports so that people don’t have to wait in long queues for their turn.
He also directed Director General Passport to ensure home delivery of newly issued Passports from next month to facilitate people.
